Fishing at Penpont

The River Usk, one of the largest rivers in Wales, flows 30 metres away from the house. Penpont has the fishing rights to a mile of the river. We let a limited number of rods per day and stipulate fly only. Tickets are £15.00 per day. Our guide, Richard White is available for fly fishing tuition and guiding.

River Swimming at Penpont

We have a suitable swimming hole just beneath the bridge, with a small pebble beach. Being only about 15 miles from the source, the water always guarantees a refreshing dip for those hearty enough to take the plunge.

Tennis at Penpont

The All Weather Tennis Court, across the river, beckons the more energetic to enjoy the peaceful surroundings for a ‘knock about’ or serious game! Remember to bring your rackets, balls and trainers with you.

Mountain Boarding at Penpont

A five minute walk through Penpont’s woods, and a Victorian walkway tunnel under the A40 will lead you to our mountain board centre. Open at weekends, board hire and protective gear as well as tuition for novices, is available.
