Ivor Davies
Ivor Davies is one of the best-known artists in Wales and won the Gold Medal for painting at the National Eisteddfod in 2002 with three of his canvases, one of which had attached to its surface parts of his grandfather’s sawn-up shotgun and a Welsh Bible. He was a founding member in the 1970s of Beca, the artists’ organisation concerned with issues of Welsh language and identity.
