‘2mph (a pace for walking in rough country with cattle
and sheep)’

In September 2002 I walked along drovers’ roads from my home in North Pembrokeshire to Smithfield market in London. Accompanied by fellow artist Peter Bodenham and Jack Russell ‘Gertie’ we carried a stuffed goose and passed close to Penpont on the hills opposite the estate. We walked in the aftermath of foot and mouth disease, fields and farms absent of livestock, a post agricultural landscape. At 2pm each day I turned on my video camera inside our hand cart and filmed for 2 minutes.
