THE STABLES

A multi purpose venue with a capacity for hosting a variety of events up to 100 people.

Penpont Stables is a Grade 2* listed building. It forms an integral part of a unique range of historical buildings, within the core of Penpont Estate. Purpose built in circa 1759; it housed the working and riding estate horses, carts, tack and fodder. The engine room within a rural estate. Over the past century, as technology and society changed, the building fell into neglect, disrepair, and became redundant.

In 2003 emergency repair work to the roof and main structure was undertaken to save the building, with the aid of a CADW grant.

In 2008, restoration work continued, with the objective to refurbish the building into a centre that would cater for the performing and visual arts, as well as for business and private events.

In 2009 we are proud to open this building which offers a wide range of facilities for a multitude of uses.

The building is licensed for entertainment use, and complies with all recent disability access and Fire regulations.

Broadband Wifi access is also available throughout the building
