









WEDDINGS AND CELEBRATIONS
Penpont is the perfect venue for you to host your wedding reception either within the Stables or in a marquee on the front lawn.
We only ever aim to do one wedding per weekend so we can guarantee you exclusive use of Penpont from midday on the Friday to midday on the Sunday. This gives you time to create your own style of wedding from arranging flowers to putting up decorations & table arranging.
PENPONT STABLES
For numbers less than 80 The Stables are ideal. There is a dining room with tables & chairs, a commercial kitchen, bar area, party/dance room, and WCs & cloakroom all under one roof. Please refer to our STABLES page.
MARQUEE
For numbers greater than 80 people a marquee can be erected on the lawn in front of Penpont house. We have a number of local marquee companies that have worked here, and we leave that decision entirely to you. Marquee companies will quote you for internal fittings, flooring, wall linings, supply of furniture, supply of mobile generator and electrical installations.
We have hosted many weddings and celebrations over the past years, and we are very happy to work alongside you to make sure that all the finer details are covered, to ensure a memorable and happy day. We offer a personalised service from the initial meeting to the end of the celebration, to ensure your plans are met, and your wedding day is everything that you dreamt it would be.
Whether you choose the Stables or a marquee the prices quoted below include the use of the Drawing and Dining Room in the main house to gather your guests at the start of the reception for a welcome drink and canape.
PRICES
Hire of Stables: £2,400.00 ( inc Vat. - the Stables is a Vat registered business)
Exclusivity Fee for Marquee: £2,500.00 ( No Vat on venue hire)
CIVIL CEREMONY
We are now licenced to hold civil ceremonies here at Penpont. We have listed several sites within our Licence. Two are within the main house and two within the Stables. We also have a designated outside area at the front of the house.
Cost for civil ceremony: £450.00 (this does not include the Registrar's fee)
Our entertainment licence runs until midnight.
ACCOMMODATION
The self-catering Courtyard Wing is brilliantly placed for on site accommodation. See our accommodation page.

CATERING
We work closely with a number of very good gourmet local caterers who we are very happy to recommend.

Crockery, linen, and other requirements can all be sourced locally from our list of preferred suppliers.
FLOWERS
We can supply your wedding/event with our own organic seasonal flowers grown in the Walled Gardens. We specialise in traditional cottage garden annuals and herbaceous flowers.
AWNING and MARQUEE
We own an unusual awning (see photo) which can add extra covered outdoor space for your event. And we have recently acquired a new white canvas marquee measuring 36 x 24 ft in length, small but beautiful, and capable of seating about 50 people.

MUSIC
Alan Cooper lives and works on the estate here, and when he is not helping us he spends his time playing his fiddle in a number of ceilidh bands.
