Penpont Campsite Terms & Conditions
Thank you for choosing to stay with us at Penpont, we hope you enjoy your stay. Please find below the terms and conditions applicable to our site.
Your agreement is with Penpont and its owners and references to 'we', 'us' and 'our' in these terms and conditions are to Penpont and its owners. References to 'you' in these terms and conditions are to you, as the person making this booking and, where applicable, to every member of your party.
Payment & Booking: Per person camping fees are as advertised at the time of booking on our online booking system. Your booking is not secure until your deposit has been received, and a confirmation email sent. Any provisional bookings will be automatically cancelled within 48 hours if payment of the deposit has not been received. Final balance is due 14 days prior to arrival, if payment is not received your booking will be cancelled 7 days prior to arrival.
Exclusive Hire: If you wish to exclusively hire the campsite, please select and pay for ‘35 adults’. Please do not arrive with more than 35 people (including adults and children). If you would like to pre-book the awning, please book and pay for this in advance.
Arrival & Departure: Arrival is from 13:00pm onwards and we ask that you vacate your pitch before 12:00pm on your day of departure. We will do our best, where possible, to accommodate earlier arrivals or later departures upon request.
Dogs: We welcome up to 4 well-behaved dogs per day. Penpont is both a working farm and conservation site. The campsite is small, and you will be in close proximity to other campers. With this in mind, please consider whether your dog is suited to this environment. Please keep close control of your dog and ensure you pick up after them, do not throw dog poo bags into the undergrowth. Please ensure your dog neither disturbs other guests nor causes any harm to wildlife, livestock and the general environment. We reserve the right to ask guests and their dogs to leave if these conditions are not met.
Recycling & rubbish: Please remove all your rubbish from your campsite (leave no trace). Please help us to recycle as much as possible. We put clearly marked bins out for people to use and welcome people's careful sorting of their rubbish.
Cars: We have a no car policy on the camp field. There is a car park close by with wheelbarrows. Please return the wheelbarrows to the car park after use.
Campervans: We have limited space for campervans and accept a maximum of 2 campervans on site per day. Campervans are to be situated in the designated parking in the Orchard (next to the main parking space for cars) Camper vans should be no bigger than VW Transporter, as access onto the site prevents bigger vans and caravans. We do not have any electrical hook ups or facilities to empty chemical loos.
Camping with kids: Penpont is a wonderful place for children to make memories, whilst we encourage children to explore, we respectfully ask parents to supervise their children to ensure their safety (particularly by the river) and to ensure they are respectful of other campers. A reminder that both crops growing in the walled garden and orchard are of economic importance to the farm and family, so please ensure this is respected.
Toilets: Please use the main toilets in the stables and do not go to the toilet in the campsite. Respect this space as if it were your own garden and leave it as you would like to find it.
Music: Please no amplified music, and respect other campers. This is a quiet campsite.
Fires: Please only make fires in the free portable firepits provided, which can be found by the camp shed at the entrance to the Rose Garden. Please do not place fires near or under trees, or anywhere near or inside your tents. Wood is sold by the full bag and available in the camping shed with full payment made in the farm shop.
Wildlife: We have wonderful wildlife here at Penpont. We hope you catch a glimpse of something special and please record any sightings on the wildlife spotting board on the farm shop shop. Please respect the flora and fauna and do not damage the trees and shrubs or pick the wildflowers.
We reserve the right to refuse acceptance or to terminate the visit of any person whose conduct we consider is detrimental to us, our site or our other visitors.
We will not be held responsible for any loss or damage, however, caused, to your property or vehicles or any injury to you or your visitors.
