Weddings & Celebrations
Penpont hosts a small number of bespoke weddings each year. Yours exclusively for the day or weekend, the stunning Stables and gardens offer a special and intimate place to gather and celebrate.
Restored in 2008 with traditional building materials and our own timber milled on the estate, the Stables at Penpont is our principal venue for weddings and celebrations.
Downstairs, the dining hall comfortably seats up to 80 guests and is connected to a fully equipped catering kitchen. Upstairs, the stunning hayloft is a beautiful space for seated ceremonies or dancing.
Connected to the Stables, the fully-licensed bar serves evening gatherings and parties. The bar is adjoined to atmospheric indoor seating and woodburning stove. We serve a range of local craft beers, ciders, wines and cocktails. Get in touch if you have any specific requests.
The bar opens out to a beautiful outdoor courtyard area surrounded by rose beds, shrubs and charactful buildings. A canvas sail awning provides some shelter, with plenty of space for outdoor seating and fire bowls. There is space too for mobile catering trucks to park up and serve food to guests. Ceremonies
We are licensed for wedding ceremonies, whether within the Stables or outside in the gardens. Penpont church, situated within the grounds, is also available subject to diocese restrictions.
Catering
We have links to local and trusted caterers to suit a range of tastes. Depending on the menu decided and the season, we can also provide a range of organic vegetables from our Walled Garden.
Flowers
Cut flowers, posies and bouquets from the Walled Garden are also available depending on the season.
